The Guardian reported that Infrastructure Australia has just released its major report on reforming Australia’s water supply, an issue is critical to a clean ocean.  It notes the need for greater transparency in the water sector, something we at Clean Ocean Foundation fully support. We’ll have more to say about this hugely important issue next year.

​Most Australian’s are born and breed by the sea. In fact, according to the Australia Bureau of Statics, about 85% of us lived within 50km of a coastline in 2001. With such a large proportion of the population living near the sea, and the abundance of wildlife that live in it, the importance to keep our beaches and oceans healthy is upmost. ​​
