WHAT IS THE NATIONAL OUTFALL DATABASE?

First We

Discovered
This project has created a National Outfall Database that integrates information about pollutants arising from sewerage treatment and their distribution from sewerage outfalls around Australia

Now let's WORK

Conserve
Information on Australia's 181 sewerage outfalls requires ongoing reporting and consolidation to provide a clear understanding of their impacts for governments & coastal communities

IT'S UP TO US

Change
We now need to develop national uniform standards to link decision makers, water authorities and local coastal communities in planning to reduce coastal pollution and provide water security to thirsty nation.

REGISTER YOUR INTEREST IN COMMUNITY MONITORING

Clean Ocean Foundation plans to conduct pilot trials of community monitoring related to sewerage outfalls later this year. The plan is to then implement the monitoring program over Australia's coast during  2018-2019. If you, or a group you belong to might wish to engage with us on monitoring these outfalls and want to know more, please fill in your details below and we will be in touch.
