The Beach is one of the best places to explore and hang out. There are so many ways to enjoy yourself at the beach, and the best thing about it is, it will always be that way. When you are older, you will still go to the beach and have just as much fun as you do now, you might even start surfing.

It is hard to imagine that the beach could change, that it could become a yucky, dirty place to be, but if we don’t look after it now, no one will be able to go there anymore.

Time is running out, we must act now!  Every single person has to take responsibility for the place we all love to enjoy.

 Clean Ocean Foundation is a group of people who love the beach and want to keep it clean for all the animals that live there and all the people that use it.

There is a big pipe that goes into the ocean at Gunnamatta beach. This pipe pumps out human waste from the land. The waste from the pipe is not treated properly before it gets sent out to sea, it even makes people who swim there sick!  We don’t want this to happen anymore.

Clean Ocean Foundation wants the water that is currently being sent out to sea to be treated in a way that makes it reusable for farms, golf courses and wineries. Not only do we think this is important in looking after the beach, but it is a good way to save water as well.

You can help by becoming a member of the Kids for Clean Oceans Club, signing up other people you know and reading about ways to be a better beach user and water saver. If you join the club there is lots of fun activities to get  involved with and you will be contributing to keeping Clean Ocean Foundation going. We need support so we can fight to stop water that needs better treatment going out firstly at Gunnamatta Beach and later other outfalls around A .
